I love curves in quilts and wanted to design something to encourage other quilters to give them a try. The Buttons and Bows pattern contains only gentle curves and would be a great place to start if you are trying curves for the first time. It also makes great use of your scraps!

Instructions are for a throw quilt of size 48" x 60" (120cm x 150cm) but the design is block based so can be easily adjusted to your required size. The blocks could also be made into a cushion, table runner or baby quilt.

The pattern contains
-Templates for both 6 inch and 8 inch blocks*
-How to make and use the templates
-Instructions are for machine piecing however this quilt can also be hand pieced
-Alternate on-point layout
-Colouring sheet to plan out colour placement

*Templates must be printed at ACTUAL size on your printer.

Requirements are approximate due to the scrappy nature of the quilt
2 yards of coloured fabric for bows
2.5 yards light fabric for background
Fat quarter or quarter yard for check centre. (cut carefully as there isn't much waste from this.)
